Your banking details live with the payment provider that sends your money, not with EVEN, so most changes happen in your provider account rather than in Backstage. This page covers how to update your bank account, how to change your payout method and address, and what to do if Stripe is not available where you live.
Who holds your banking details
For most artists, EVEN pays out through Stripe. When you set up your Stripe Connect account you give your bank details directly to Stripe, and EVEN never stores them, which is why every change to your payout information is made on the Stripe side rather than in your EVEN account.
If you are in an African country, EVEN pays out through Startbutton instead of Stripe, so your banking details are managed there. Email support@even.biz if you need to change them and are not sure where to do it.
Updating your bank account
Log in to your Stripe account at https://connect.stripe.com/express_login.
Open the Banking or Payout settings section.
Replace your existing bank details with the correct ones and save.
Your next payout uses the new account as soon as the change is saved. If a payout was already in flight when you made the change, it still goes to the old account, so keep that account open until you have seen the money arrive.
Changing how you get paid
Log in with the same link and adjust your payout preferences in your account settings. Which methods are available depends on your country and your bank, so if the option you want is not there, email support@even.biz with your country and we will tell you what we can support.
Updating your business address
Log in to your Stripe account.
Go to your account settings and find the Business information section.
Update the address and save. The change applies automatically to the payout details EVEN uses.
Home address and country work differently, because Stripe locks some identity fields once an account has been created. If you cannot edit yours, email support@even.biz with your artist name and the correct details and we will handle it for you.
How often payouts run
Payouts run daily for everything you earn, and there is no minimum balance to reach before money moves. Once a payout has been processed it can take 24 to 48 hours to reach your bank, depending on your bank's own settlement times. Your Stripe dashboard shows every past and upcoming payout, so that is the fastest place to check where something is.
If Stripe is not available where you are
Stripe is not the only way to get paid on EVEN. In African countries we pay out through Startbutton, and in other regions there are further options depending on local rules. Email support@even.biz with your artist name and your country and we will set you up on the right one.
