What Happens When A Release Ends On EVEN, And What Your Fans Keep

What changes for you and for your fans when a release moves to streaming, reaches the end of its campaign, is taken down, or is pulled from sale.

You decide how long a release runs on EVEN, so a release can end in a few different ways. Here is what each one means for you and for the fans who bought in.

The release moves to streaming

After a direct to fan campaign, you may decide to put the music on streaming platforms. Fans can keep streaming the tracks there, but the exclusive offers and Access Points you ran during the campaign may no longer be available on EVEN.

The campaign reaches its natural end

When a campaign runs its course, the release stops being available for purchase on EVEN and new fans can no longer buy in. Anyone who bought during the campaign keeps everything they purchased or unlocked, so their Access Points stay in their account.

You take the release down

You can also remove a release from EVEN entirely, whether that is a personal decision or a strategic one to close a campaign early. The release stops being visible and purchasable on the platform, and the fans who already bought it keep their purchases and their access.

The release is pulled from sale after a copyright flag

A release can also stop selling because a copyright check flagged one of its tracks. In that case the release moves to a Disputed status and is pulled from sale automatically, so it stops earning until the case is resolved. Sales that were already submitted for a chart reporting period are not withdrawn.

You cannot lift a Disputed status yourself. Email support@even.biz with your artist name, the release, the name of the flagged track, and any paperwork you have for the audio, and we will review it.

What happens to your earnings

What you earned while the release was on sale is still yours. Payouts run daily, so there is no minimum balance to reach and no weekly cycle to wait for, and money from the campaign keeps reaching you after the release has ended.
