Introducing Refer & Earn: bring an artist you believe in to EVEN and earn 5% of their digital music sales, paid out of EVEN’s fee. They keep their full 80%.

Artists have always put each other on. You share a link, vouch for a friend, tell someone where you sell your music. Since EVEN first launched, artists have sent thousands of invites to other artists, without being asked and without earning a thing for it.

Now you do. Refer & Earn turns the word-of-mouth you’re already doing into income, for as long as their music is on EVEN.

And here’s the part that matters most: your 5% comes out of EVEN’s fee, never out of the artist’s pocket. The artist you bring in keeps 80% of every sale, exactly like every other artist on EVEN.

How It Works

You’ll find Refer & Earn in the Backstage sidebar. It takes three steps.

1. Share

Copy your personal link, or send an email invite straight from Backstage with an optional personal note. Invites are good for 30 days.

2. They join and sell

The artist signs up through your link or invite and goes through EVEN’s standard approval. Once they’re on EVEN, they start selling their music.

3. You earn 5%

Every digital music sale they make, including pre-orders, earns you 5%, paid out of EVEN’s fee. Their 80% is never touched.

On every sale, the split is simple: the artist keeps 80%, you earn 5%, and EVEN keeps 15%.

What You Earn

You earn 5% of every digital music sale the artist makes on EVEN, from their very first one, for as long as their music is on EVEN. There are no signup bonuses, tiers or hoops to jump through: when they sell, you earn.

Your rate is locked in when the artist joins. Payouts go out monthly, at the start of the month, through Stripe, with no minimum.

You see one combined total for all your referrals. What each artist earns stays private to them.

Who to Put On

The best referrals are artists you’d vouch for anyway. A few places to start:

• Your collaborators. The producer on your last single, the feature on your EP, the band you toured with.

• Artists with a fanbase but no direct-to-fan home. If they’re selling only through streaming, EVEN gives them 80% of every sale and their own fan list.

• Artists about to drop something. A new release is the best moment to start selling direct, and digital pre-orders count toward your 5%.

• Your scene. The artists you already recommend in group chats, at shows and in your DMs.

A personal note goes a long way. Tell them why you think their music belongs on EVEN. And if you post your link publicly, let people know you earn a fee when artists you refer sell on EVEN.
